STUDIO 24: Chop Shop: Spooky Scrappliqué

Bring a base garment and your desire to experiment along with a mish mash of garments, garment pieces, or fabrics to cut up and recombine. Some spooky collage pieces provided.

Bring a base garment and your desire to experiment along with a mish mash of garments, garment pieces, or fabrics to cut up and recombine. 

Sewing machine and all sewing tools along with some spooky fabric collage pieces will be provided. Upcycle your wardrobe! 

Chop Shop is an invitation to reimagine our wardrobes and empower participants to take agency over the fit, styling, and embellishment of their clothing. We'll upcycle by shopping our own closets with a different focus each week.  In this workshop style class, we will brainstorm techniques and practice skills to achieve your unique fashion goals.  Chop Shop is not a place for your most precious garments, but instead a place to play with items that aren't quite right. Previous sewing experience is encouraged but not required and bravery can go a long way.  Let's go chopping!
